MADISON - An unexpected assault by two men at-large spoiled a Father's Day celebration and sent an out-of-town man to the hospital.

Madison police say a 51-year old man, who was out celebrating Father's Day with his adult daughter, was randomly attacked inside Red Rock Saloon in downtown Madison.

The report suggests the victim was approached at the bar and struck by the first suspect. He was then knocked unconscious by a punch from a second suspect, before before hit repeatedly in the head again by the first man.

The suspects fled, but were described as in their 20's and white. One was wearing blue flannel and the other a shirt with a logo on the front.

The victim is being treated for a suspected concussion, broken jaw, and other non-life-threatening injuries.
