MADISON, Wis. (AP) _ Michelle Obama and actress Eva Longoria are coming to Watertown High School on Thursday for an event to promote the drinking of water over sugary soft drinks.

The White House announced the event on Monday. It is not open to the general public.

Obama is joining with Partnership for a Healthier America to launch a new nationwide effort to encouraging the drinking of more water. The White House says the new effort will bring together leaders from industry, entertainment, media and government to promote the health benefits of drinking water.

Watertown Mayor John David and the leader of Partnership for a Healthier America, Lawrence Soler, were also both slated to join the event with Obama and Longoria.
