GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) _ Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Tuesday that wide receiver Jordy Nelson will miss the rest of training camp after undergoing a procedure on one of his knees.
The Packers are hopeful he will be ready for the Sept. 8 regular-season opener at San Francisco. Nelson had not practiced since Thursday, missing Friday night's practice and Saturday's scrimmage.
Also, left tackle Bryan Bulaga reportedly suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in Saturday's Family Night scrimmage, but McCarthy refused to close the door on Bulaga's season, saying they're awaiting a medical opinion before making a final decision.
Randall Cobb, the leading receiver last year, has a biceps injury. Cornerback Tramon Williams has been sidelined for more than a week with a bone bruise in his knee, and cornerback Casey Hayward hasn't practiced because of a hamstring injury.
DuJuan Harris, the starting running back at the end of last season, has yet to practice because of a knee injury.
The Packers open the preseason Friday night against Arizona at Lambeau Field. Kickoff at 7pm. Pregame coverage starts at 5pm on 1310, WIBA and 101.5, WIBA-FM.
