Metal Mishaps Plague 59th Annual Grammys

Megadeth won their first-ever Grammy on Sunday, though their extended walk up from the back of the theater to accept the award was, for some reason, backed by the Metallica tune “Master of Puppets.”

The song was released in 1986, some three years AFTER Megadeth leader Dave Mustaine was fired by Metallica.

And later in the evening, Metallica's James Hetfield's microphone didn't work for a good portion of his collaboration with Lady Gaga.  He was a trooper and shared her mic for awhile but was probably pretty angry about it.  Watch at the end of the performance as he throws his guitar.

Oh, and to add insult to injury, presenter Laverne Cox only mentioned Gaga when introducing them.
