Josh Jones skipping OTAs; seeking trade from Packers

ESPN's Rob Demovsky reports that a source has indicated that Packers safety Josh Jones is skipping OTAs, is working out in Florida, and is seeking a trade from Green Bay.

According to Demovksy's report, Jones has asked Packers GM Brian Gutekunst to release or trade him.

As of Tuesday morning, the Packers had made no official move.

Jones, a second-round draft selection of the Packers in 2017, has played in 29 games for Green Bay, starting in 12 games. Jones has recorded 122 tackles, three sacks, and an interception in two years with the Packers. Green Bay drafted Maryland safety Darnell Savage in the first round in 2019, the latest in a long line of high draft picks spent on the secondary for the Packers. Green Bay also picked cornerback Jaire Alexander in the first round in 2018.
