Share The Warmth

This week we're experiencing historic low temperatures. As we look ahead to the life-threatening cold, we want to make sure families in our communities have what they need to stay warm. We've teamed up with The Salvation Army of Dane County to Share the Warmth and collect cold weather relief items this week.

WHAT TO DONATE:

In addition to supplying winter jackets, boots and gloves, The Salvation Army of Dane County is looking for the following items:

  • Blankets
  • Towels
  • Twin sheets (for shelter beds)
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Diapers
  • Mittens (they are warmer than gloves)
  • Travel size toiletries

They will be opening the shelter early all week at 3PM to help people get in and ready for the night.

If you want to donate money to help offset some of the increased costs of feeding the guests or to help purchase necessary items, you can send a check to The Salvation Army Dane County, 3030 Darbo Drive MADISON, WI 53714 or at their website: http://www.salvationarmydanecounty.org/

To make sure your funds are going to the cold weather fund, you can designate this on your check.

DROP OFF LOCATIONS:

You may drop off donations at the shelter, 630 East Washington, Madison. Parking is available in the rear of the building. The Salvation Army of Dane County suggests that the best time to drop off items is from 8AM to 3PM.

The Salvation Army of Dane County office and Community Center is located at 3030 Darbo Drive, Madison with the drop off hours of 9AM to 5PM.

We will be accepting donations at our studios weekdays from 8AM to 5PM. Our address is 2651 S Fish Hatchery Rd, Madison.
