Badgers To Play Bradley In First Round Of NIT

After missing the NCAA Tournament for only the second time since 1998, the Wisconsin Badgers accepted an invite to the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) on Sunday night. They earned a No. 2 seed and will host Bradley on Tuesday night at 8:30pm at the Kohl Center.

Wisconsin (17-14, 9-11) has not played in the NIT since 1996.

Bradley lost the championship game of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament and thus missed the NCAA Tournament. However, they were the regular season champion of the MVC.

Campus sites host the first three rounds of the tournament, before the Semifinals and the Championship Game are played in Las Vegas.

If the Badgers advance, they will play either No. 3 seed Liberty or Villanova.

Listen to the all of the action on 97.3 The Game in Milwaukee and 1310 WIBA in Madison. Pregame coverage begins at 7:30pm on Tuesday night.
